Cement suspension

For the production of a cement suspension, finest cement is mixed with water and admixtures, if necessary. The quality of the suspension depends on the observance of the mixing time (manufacturer instruction) and the appropriateness of the mixing devices, so that the solid particles are separated and distributed. While being processed, the suspension must be kept in motion (stirrer at low speed) to avoid sedimentation of the solid particles. In the field of concrete repair, cement suspensions are used for filling cracks (from about 0.2 mm) and cavities.
